Victoria Beckham and Zimmermann join the official calendar of Paris Fashion Week

JOIN THE CLUB: Victoria Beckham and Zimmermann are among the new names joining the official Paris Fashion Week calendar next season, organizers said on Wednesday.

At a meeting earlier this week, the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, the organizing body for French fashion, approved 11 new labels to join the spring women’s ready-to-wear show program. 2023, which will take place from September 26 to 30. 4th of October.

Four will hold fashion shows in Paris. Beckham will mark his return to the catwalk for the first time since the pandemic. Last season, the British designer made an off-schedule presentation at a showroom in Paris, after showing her collections in London and New York.

Meanwhile, Zimmermann will make his Paris runway debut after a presentation at the New York showroom last season. The Australian brand resumed its global retail rollout last year with the opening of a boutique in Cannes and recently opened a store in Madrid.

Also joining the runway program is London-based label AWAKE Mode by Russian-born designer Natalia Alaverdian, who made her entrance onto the Paris fashion scene with a glitzy party in 2014 co-hosted by Kim Kardashian.

The season also marks the official debut of Weinsanto, the fashion label designed by Victor Weinsanto, who has been exhibiting off-calendar since 2020 and selling his collection on the Dover Street Market Paris showroom. The French designer was a semifinalist in this year’s edition of the LVMH Award for Young Designers.

Seven names will join the official presentation programme, reflecting the international reach of the French capital.

They are French outdoor specialist Aigle; Ukrainian designer Anna October; Boutet, the French label founded by Constance Boutet; the Austrian brand Florentina Leitner; the Spanish designer based in London Paula Canovas del Vas; Pressiat, the brand founded by French designer Vincent Garnier Pressiat; and Ruohan Nie’s Chinese label Ruohan.

The provisional schedule for Paris Fashion Week will be published the week of August 22, the federation said.
