US PVH to Invest $10 Million Globally to Create Opportunities in Fashion

US fashion company PVH Corp, through the PVH Foundation, has announced new investments totaling $10 million over the next four years in global nonprofits to support its programming and initiatives aligned with priorities Inclusion and Diversity of the company. The initial list of selected partner organizations will increase awareness and access to opportunities in the fashion industry for people from underserved and underrepresented communities.

PVH will work with these partners to support programming for high school students and training for individuals from ‘non-traditional’ backgrounds seeking new career opportunities in the fashion industry. High school students from underserved and underrepresented communities will have the opportunity to explore careers in fashion, develop technical skills, and participate in mentoring programs. People from ‘non-traditional’ talent sources, such as those re-entering the workforce or seeking a career change, graduate students who are not college graduates, and immigrants will have the opportunity to take advantage of skills development and hands-on training to prepare for success in the industry, the company said in a news release.

The PVH Foundation has announced investments of $10 million over the next four years in global nonprofit organizations, to support their programming and initiatives aligned with the company’s Inclusion and Diversity priorities. The initial list of selected partner organizations will increase awareness and access to opportunities in the fashion industry.

Global partner organizations include the KELY Support Group and the World of Art Brut Culture (WABC) in Asia; Australian Business and Community Network in Australia; Ecotece Institute in Brazil; and Fashion Council Germany (FCG), Graduate Fashion Foundation and House of Denim Foundation in Europe. The North American organizations are Creatives Want Change (CWC), Custom Collaborative, I Love First Peoples, Misa Hylton Fashion Academy (MHFA), National Urban League, New Circles, and Prep for Prep.
