Threads collaborates with Canadian drag superstar Tynomi Banks

After the successful launch of Threads for Men last year, the Canadian hosiery brand is back with a collaboration of royal proportions. In association with drag superstar Tynomi Banks, the duo have released a pair of fishnet tights inspired by one of the queen’s most iconic looks. In a press release, Banks reveals, “We designed these tights so everyone who wears them, regardless of gender, pronoun, or lifestyle, feels comfortable and unapologetic.”

If Reese Cooper isn’t already on your radar, she should be. In 2019, the American designer was awarded second prize at the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund, and in 2020 she was nominated for CFDA Emerging Designer of the Year. She has now partnered with Levi’s on a 10-piece collection of jeans, jackets, hoodies and t-shirts that seamlessly meld couture with heritage. She thinks of very wearable separate garments with pockets for days.

Outdoorsy’s alder brand opens its first pop-up shop

Founded by National Geographic explorer Mikayla Wujec and fashion marketing leader Naomi Blackman, the duo created the clothing brand in Toronto to offer more outdoor clothing options for women. And now you can shop the brand’s cute hiking shorts and “get dirty” dress in person, thanks to its pop-up store, which is coming to Toronto on June 25 and will be open throughout the summer.
