WILLIAMSBURG — Resort Lifestyle Communities has broken ground on Virginia Greens, a new retirement community in Williamsburg.

Nebraska-based Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) prides itself on offering “resort lifestyle” in its self-contained retirement communities, according to the Virginia Greens website.

Virginia Greens will offer an all-inclusive experience where one price covers all of residents’ daily needs, including chef-prepared meals and a full schedule of enriching activities and entertainment options, according to an RLC press release. Additionally, on-site staff will provide assistance through the 24/7 emergency calling system, as well as transportation for scheduled appointments, concierge services, weekly housekeeping and valet parking, according to the company.

An in-house bank, pharmacy, general store and community hall are also planned, all of which will be open to the public.

Residents in need of in-home care will have the freedom to contract with the providers of their choice, and the company says the all-inclusive monthly rent for studio, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments is competitively priced with no gate fee.

Virginia Greens Retirement Community is the second RLC location in Virginia, the other being Tuckahoe Pines Retirement Community in the Richmond area. RLC hopes the new location will help the community grow by bringing job opportunities to the area while also offering a safe and compassionate lifestyle for older residents and peace of mind for their families, he said.

The community will be located at 4301 Battery Blvd. in Williamsburg. For additional information about the community, check out their official webpage.
