Queen Elizabeth’s fashion industry inspiration fondly remembered – Boston News, Weather, Sports

Queen Elizabeth II was known for her unique sense of style. Her unforgettable hats and colorful outfits became a well-known part of her public appearances. And after 70 years as Monarch, the Queen’s decisions have influenced the British fashion industry.

“I think her clothes were amazing,” said one admirer of the Queen’s fashion sense.

His colors were bold; her hats were elegant; her jewelry, simple but extravagant.

A mourner in London said: “I’m looking at every detail and she always got it right, she always looked stunning, didn’t she?”

The elegant, refined and characteristic image of Queen Elizabeth made it easy to distinguish her from the crowd.

A woman 7News spoke to in London says she once worked in a couture outfit that suited the Queen.

“After the test, I would sew the pieces together (I was quite young then), so I would sew the liners together and get minor pieces,” he says. “He was good, he was good.”

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour reflected on sitting next to the Queen at a British designer’s show in 2018. Wintour’s statement reveals that Queen Elizabeth once walked the catwalk, writing:

“She was so delighted to be there, telling me how she had appeared in a fashion show long before she became queen. She said it with a joy and humor that swept through the room…”

In her own way, Queen Elizabeth was also a queen of fashion.

The British Fashion Council says there will be a city-wide celebration of London in October to honor the Queen’s impact on creativity and design.
