PanelPicker® is the official SXSW user-generated session proposal platform developed to encourage the community to submit proposals for our SXSW 2023 conference lineup from March 10-19, 2023. This simple two-step process allows the SXSW community to have a say in the selection of creative and thought-provoking programming. Visit panelpicker.sxsw.com to login or create a new profile, then start your proposal. All ideas received will be posted online for Community Vote from August 9 to 21, 2022.

PanelPicker Success Tips
Follow the instructions and read the frequently asked questions. Reading the PanelPicker FAQ will give you important information about SXSW and more valuable tips for creating a great proposal.
Create an original and future-focused proposal that shows what you are passionate about. SXSW often provides a preview of what the next year and beyond will be talking about in technology, culture, music and film. Give us your perspective on what’s to come and why.
Depth and specificity. SXSW attendees want advanced and in-depth information, so be sure to dig into the details of a topic. The more specific a proposal is, the better. Delve into what really matters.
Your title should reflect your description. Your title will fight for attention with hundreds of other titles on PanelPicker, so it’s important that your title is direct and explanatory. The community should be able to understand what the proposal will cover without reading its description. Remember: think simply, precisely and succinctly. Tip: Avoid using ALL CAPS in your title and proposal.
Diversity matters. All panels (3-4 person sessions) must include diversity in gender, race, location and employment of speakers, and diversity of thought and opinion.
Include a video with your proposal. Your speaking skills are important and we would like to see them. No fancy production required – recording from your webcam or phone works perfectly.
Check, check, check. Did we mention review? Spelling, grammar, and punctuation are extremely important. Once you have completed your draft idea and clicked “Enter My Proposal”, you will NOT be able to edit your idea. Make sure you have reviewed your proposal carefully.
Meet the deadline. The deadline to enter PanelPicker 2022 is Sunday, July 24 at 11:59 pm PST.
