Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua rematch exclusively live on Sky Sports Box Office next month

Sky Sports Box Office will be the only place, in the UK and Ireland, to watch the highly anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua on August 20, 2022.

The fight, scheduled to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, will see British heavyweight Anthony Joshua attempt to regain the WBA (Super), WBO and IBF titles after his unanimous decision loss to Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk last year.

Adam Smith, Head of Boxing Development for Sky Sports, said: “Sky Sports viewers have enjoyed a long history with AJ, watching every one of his fights since he turned professional in 2013. We also know Oleksandr very well. Usyk, having had the last four of the Ukrainian’s fights live exclusively on Sky Sports. This rematch is a great occasion with everything at stake and many questions to answer. We can’t wait to bring it to boxing fans in the UK and Ireland in true Sky Sports style with all the development it deserves.”

Joshua and Usyk’s first fight at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium took place last September and was one of the most watched fights in Sky Sports Box Office history.

Since his loss, Joshua has revamped his training setup, now working with American coach Robert Garcia alongside Angel Fernandez in a bid to avenge the second loss of his professional career.

The British heavyweight can become a three-time world champion if he defeats Usyk next month. The Ukrainian is recognized as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport, becoming the undisputed cruiserweight world champion in 2018 before claiming three heavyweight belts.
