Marc Jacobs will organize a fashion show on February 2 – World Water Day

Marc Jacobs returns to the Park Avenue Armory ahead of New York Fashion Week.

The designer plans to show his next collection on February 2 at the Park Avenue Armory in New York at 6:00 p.m. He will present a spring-summer 2023 collection that will be delivered to Bergdorf Goodman in June.

Jacobs last performed in June 2022 at the New York Public Library, where his fall 2022 show spread beyond the library walls to giant screens in Times Square that broadcast the event live. The show included six minutes of creatively fueled fashion power titled “Choice,” which was an apt retelling given the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade just days before.

In September, Jacobs created a collection within the Fendi collection that was shown in New York, using his love of logomania to play on the Fendi moniker on Baguettes. She designed 10 looks in the spirit of her exploration of historical romance and the street.

The Park Avenue Armory has been a frequent venue for Jacobs throughout his career. The last time it was shown there was just before the COVID-19 lockdowns, in February 2020. More than 50 dancers raced through the vast space where small wooden bistro tables were set up like the setting for an era cabaret. of the Depression.

NYFW will take place from February 10 to 15. The US collections begin with a Rodarte show on February 10 at 4 pm and conclude with a Luar show at 8 pm on February 15. More than 75 companies are participating. NYFW Women’s Shows will take place throughout New York City, though Spring Studios will remain the hub for NYFW: The Shows.
