Kanye’s Donda Sports Reportedly Signing Jaylen Brown

Jaylen Brown is the newest addition to Kanye West’s Donda Sports.

Brown has become the first NBA player to sign with Ye, according to TMZ, following in the footsteps of Super Bowl winner Aaron Donald, who called his own signing with Donda Sports a “no-brainer.” The Boston Celtics shooting guard and Ye evidently made things official when Yeezy attended a Warriors and Celtics game in March, where they posed for photos together.

It was previously revealed that NFL star Antonio Brown was taking on the role of president within the organization when AB shared with fans in February that he had booked the “Donda Suite” for the Super Bowl. In an interview with Complex earlier this year, he talked about what it was like to work at Donda Sports with Ye.

“We are excited about the Donda Sports brand and making this a competitive sports brand for athletes,” he said. “I don’t think there are many fashion lines for athletes, who wear comfortable and fashionable clothing, so with a guy like Kanye West, being able to partner with him and work with him to bring more creative and cool ideas for fashion. athletes in general… I am grateful for the opportunity that is given to me soon, to share what we have with the world. And you guys are hearing it first, we have some exciting things to look forward to this year.”

With Ye’s mind on sports and fashion, he has apparently been more distant from one of his previous GOOD Music creations. In a new interview with Complex, GOOD signatory 070 Shake said that the label Ye founded no longer “exists.”

“To be honest, just to keep it real with you, GOOD Music isn’t really a thing,” Shake said. “Like, no one works for GOOD Music. They don’t even exist. To be honest, I worked with Def Jam. Nobody works at GOOD Music.”

As for Brown, he will play in the NBA Finals against the Warriors this June, after the Celtics won Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Monday night against the Miami Heat. This season, he has been averaging 23.6 PPG with a 47.3 field goal percentage. And even if he doesn’t take home the ring, he’ll probably still be a champion in Ye’s eyes.
