F1 has named fashion brand AlphaTauri as its clothing supplier in a new multi-year deal with all its staff to wear a new kit.
In a new multi-year agreement announced, F1 has named fashion brand AlphaTauri as its new ‘Official Premium Fashion Apparel Supplier’ to the sport. It will be seen how the fashion brand Red Bull will equip all Formula 1 personnel working on the circuit with a uniform.
The brand was founded in 2016 and finally moved into F1 as a team in 2020 when Red Bull decided to change the name from Toro Rosso to AlphaTauri. The outfit has become a sister brand to the senior team instead of running as a junior team in the old form.
“We are very pleased to announce that AlphaTauri will be the apparel supplier to Formula 1 with its modern and stylish clothing that will be worn by our staff during the races,” said Stefano Domenicali. “Formula 1 is the perfect environment to develop fashion in its unique landscape of sport and entertainment.”
At the same time, Ahmet Mercan, CEO of AlphaTauri, added: “Fashion and Formula 1 have formed a fantastic symbiosis for decades. Our partnership is seamless and allows for fantastic synergies as we share a common mindset. Innovation is our driving element.”
