Dying Light 2 PS5 VRR support is coming in the next update

Techland has announced that Dying Light 2 version for PS5 will get variable refresh rate (VRR) support along with a “balanced” mode in the next game update. We don’t have a release date for the update yet, but Techland has been teasing upcoming content and posting random information on Twitter. The developer promised to share more details in the coming weeks, so expect to hear more about these modes soon.

The balanced mode mentioned above will target dynamic 4K at 60 frames per second (fps), while the VRR mode will support 1080p at an unlocked frame rate.

The next chapter of Dying Light 2 is called “A Huntress and a Witch”. Said hunter is an agent named Shen Xiu. “Where does she come from? What is her business in the city? For now, just know that this extremely competent tracker and archery expert has a very special task for the Nightrunners,” Techland joked in a recent video.

With the Dying Light 2 PS5 update, 18 games now support VRR on the console.
