Do you love sports? You love fashion? Keep up with both on these accounts

Sports are more popular than ever and as such so are their athletes. They are getting bigger than the box score by betting on investments, games, and most commonly, fashion. You can follow all the biggest stars — and their mega-attacks — on various Instagram accounts dedicated to documenting their pregame appearance, whether it’s when they hit the tunnel (a nickname for the locker room path) or rush onto the field for the warm ups.

Most high-profile athletes re-share the images captured by their respective teams’ social media managers, paparazzi snaps from outside the hotels they stay at for away games, and professional photos taken during public appearances, such as backstage with your favorite musician (and new friend), onstage at award shows, and more. Following accounts that aggregate the best of these looks in a single feed frees up the time you would have spent searching for these photos on your own.

Below you will find accounts dedicated to basketball, football, baseball, hockey and soccer stars; specifically, the clothes they wear, how they do their hair, and the sneakers they collect.

LeagueFits, run by Slam, the leading basketball magazine, launched in 2018. That’s when, with the help of Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and LeBron James, the concept of athletes as role models really took off. It was also the dawn of the influencer. This intersection made LeagueFits the ideal following, and as such, the account amassed almost a million followers in just three years. Go here to see photos of NBA and WNBA athletes exclusively.

As the name suggests, BlitzFits focuses only on NFL players. But, with 53 athletes per team, there are a lot of settings to filter. BlitzFits does an excellent job of not only finding these images, but also choosing only the best ones to post. And, unsurprisingly, they are most active on the weekends, when NFL games are played.

Founded in 1999 but hosted as Instagram for just a few years, Slam Kicks keeps up with sneaker culture, specifically the ones worn by basketball players both on and off the court. The NBA is weird because its fans can often find and wear, in almost every environment, the shoes that its athletes wear. Fans are not allowed to wear football boots at home; the same goes for soccer. So the NBA and its biggest brands (Nike, Jordan, etc.) have an advantage, thus creating an industry of their own. Stay tuned via Slam Kicks.
