Arsenal remain two points behind Manchester City for top spot in the EPL after week 14, while Chelsea remain in the top 6 after suffering a 4-1 loss to Brighton last week. Who do you like in this matchup and why?
Paul Carr: Arsenal are legit, ranking slightly behind Manchester City on most of the underlying numbers this season. Chelsea haven’t been legit, ranking 13th in expected goal difference this season (-3.1) and conceding the third-best shots of any Premier League team. With all of Chelsea’s injury problems, I support Arsenal in this one (+180)although I prefer to have a price closer to +200.
Daniel Thomas: I can’t wait for this game. Arsenal have been so impressive so far this season and they will go into this tie full of confidence. Chelsea suffered their first loss under Graham Potter against Brighton, where he was miserable, especially at the back. I expect Arsenal to exploit those weaknesses this weekend and I think the The gunners will get the victory..
Dalen bracelet: I’m in arsenal to win also. They are the best team and they know what their coach wants from them individually and collectively. I can’t say the same for Chelsea, as Potter is still playing around with tactics and personnel.

Fulham look to get back to their winning ways as they travel to the Etihad Stadium to take on defending champions Manchester City. Fulham are on a four-match unbeaten run and quickly moved up the table to seventh. Do you like the Lilywhites to do it this week or will Pep Guardiola’s squad get the win?
Car: With both teams ranked in the top four in total goals per game this season, scoring at the Etihad is obviously expected, as the price of over 3.5 goals (-150) suggests. I prefer to play both teams score (-115), as Fulham are not a compact type of team, not even away from home. He has had at least eight shots and 0.7 expected goals in all six away games this season, scoring against Arsenal and Tottenham. City will score, as they have in every home game this season, and I think Fulham will score one too.
Thomas: City thrash Fulham. Erling Haaland or not, expect a big win.

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to remain among the top teams in the EPL table, while Liverpool are hoping, at best, to finish in fourth place after a terrible start to the season. Can Hotspur take advantage of Liverpool’s problems on the road or will Jürgen Klopp’s club pull off the upset?

Car: Even after Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Napoli, I can’t take the Reds here. Tuesday’s game was at Anfield, and Liverpool are still winless in away league games this season (D2 L3), including a shock defeat at Nottingham Forest two weeks ago. Not that Liverpool have been unlucky, not with an expected goal difference of -2.2 in those five away games. Tottenham have been doing well at White Hart Lane this season, winning five of six league games, but have yet to face any of the traditional top six teams there. The absence of Son Heung-Min makes the tie (+265) even more likely, and that’s my game.
Thomas: It depends on which Spurs show up. They keep forgetting to play in the first half, which could have cost them dearly in recent games. Liverpool have lost to Forest and Leeds before this game, but I have a feeling that The reds can take the three points North London.
Bracelet: I honestly don’t know what to make of this game. Every time I’ve expected Liverpool to perform, they haven’t, and when I bet against them, they look like the team we thought they were in pre-season. There is no doubt that Son Heung-Min hurts Spurs and I think a draw is likely, but Liverpool’s away form is stuck in my head. good value for Spurs at home in two-way market (+130 Spurs draw without bet).
What do you watch in the other European leagues?
Thomas: There may be some value in Gerard Piqué to score in his last game at home with Barça. Perhaps there is a ceremonial feather that you are allowed to take before leaving for the Catalan sunset.
What is your best bet for the weekend?
Car: As usual, I go with both teams score in a Leicester City away game (-130), this one at Everton on Saturday. The Foxes somehow failed to concede in their 4-0 win over Wolves two weeks ago, despite allowing 21 shots and 2.1 expected goals. They now face an Everton side who seem to have good defence, having allowed 12 goals this season, the fourth fewest in the league. But the Toffees have allowed 19.6 expected goals without penalty, the second most in the league. With two defenses that aren’t very good, I expect both teams to get at least one goal here.
