A video of a woman behaving like a man has gone viral, and the comments are quite revealing.

In a world where 4.7 million Twitter users take Andrew Tate’s word as gospel, it’s no surprise to see that a simple video of a woman behaving like a man can bring misogynists to the fore.

Initially posted by husband and wife duo The Coles and reposted by Ladbible on Instagram, where it has garnered over 208,000 likes in the space of one day, the video features Shane and Brogan Cole mimicking what home life would be like. if the shoe were on the other foot.

In the video, Brogan is seen sneaking up behind Shane, who leans over to get something out of the closet, grabs him by the hips, and shoves him from behind. In another clip, Brogan slaps her husband on the butt and he says that “it demeans me, mind you. I’m not a piece of meat.”

A third clip shows Brogan pinching Shane’s “man tits” from behind. While the video of a woman behaving like a man was meant to be a joke and show what men usually do with their partners at home, some of the (male) social media users didn’t seem to get it.

“Most set up thing I’ve ever seen,” said one person, while another added: “Imagine putting your phone on a tripod and mounting this. [sic] Just to get attention.”

“I think the most demeaning part of this is that he agreed to make this horrible video,” added another, with a fourth saying: “If men acted like women, we would stop playing.”

One woman responded by saying, “A lot of you just don’t get it, do you?”

Another added: “There are a lot of comments here like, ‘just take her to bed.’ The point of the post is to show that women don’t like being treated like this, to show how horrible it feels.”

However, another woman added that she does this to her partner “all the time because I find it fun to do it. No more than that.

The comments from male users on Instagram simply weren’t, but the post received a more upbeat response on TikTok, where it had more than 13.6 million views. Although, it should be noted that most of the commentators on the video were women.

“How dramatic it is makes it even more fun,” said one woman, while another added: “They hate the taste of their own medicine!”

Guys, it’s really okay to take a joke sometimes, you know? Women don’t look for you…
