A 3-year-old Call of Duty player is going viral for his incredible gaming skills, but some people don’t think such a young child should be playing violent video games.

Earlier this year, images surfaced on TikTok of the upcoming Call of Duty prodigy in the form of a little boy with an iPad.

In the clip, the youngster was able to do quite well and secured a couple of shards in the process, showing off a hidden potential ability.

“I wonder how people would feel if they found out that a 3-year-old is playing them on Call of Duty,” the boy’s mother wrote alongside the video. Needless to say, the results were mixed, to say the least.

As the video went viral, responses on TikTok increased with some applauding the boy for having such a skill at a young age, while others criticized the mother for letting him play.

“If I knew a 3-year-old killed me with COD, I’d stop playing forever,” one quipped.

“Bro is better than me,” said another.

However, not all comments were positive, with one taking issue with the boy being allowed to play Call of Duty. “It’s a big NO for me. I should be playing Barney games at this age,” one Instagram user commented.

Yahoo News even spoke to Professor Ofir Turel of the University of Melbourne about the viral video where he warned of the boy’s future.

“Playing COD at this level obviously takes practice. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends zero screen time between ages 0 and 2 and one hour per day of selective screen time, that is, from educational programs, between ages 2 and 5,” he said.

“Studies found that more screen time in 2-year-olds is associated with poorer cognitive and social development outcomes at 3 years. In my own studies of video games in older children, I found links to lack of sleep and obesity.”

Regardless, we can’t wait to see this youngster in the Call of Duty League 15 years from now when he becomes eligible. Until then, he has already amassed over 8.5 million views on TikTok alone with reloads of the video calling the kid a “CoD beast.”
